Not only did Ben not bring a tent, he apparently also didn’t pack any clothes, because this is the same plaid he wore camping. His motto: “All you need is plaid.”
Tom is one of the only plaid regulars who doesn’t wear any this episode, but he makes up for it in pillows.
This plaid is meant to blend in with nature. Except nature will never be as beautiful as plaid, so it doesn’t quite work.

Note that this is already the sixth plaid of the episode and we haven’t even gotten to the camping/plaid orgy yet.
Ben wore this exact ensemble not long ago, but honestly it’s beautiful enough that he could get away with wearing it daily.
